Gov. Perry Appoints Novak to Texas Facilities Commission
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Michael “Mike” Novak of San Antonio to the Texas Facilities Commission for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2013. The commission is responsible for the acquisition of goods, services and facilities for state government.
Novak is president and CEO of the Novak Group. He is presiding tri-chairman of the city of San Antonio Office of Military Affairs Base Realignment and Closure Implementation Board, and chairman of Morningside Ministries . He is also a board member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Cancer Therapy and Research Center, past president of the Texas and San Antonio chapters of the Associated General Contractors, past chairman of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and KLRN Public Television, and a former Bexar County Commissioner.
Novak received a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University.

San Antonio Business Journal names Novak Group 2011 Best in Industrial Redevelopment Award winner for Gore Design Complementions’ Hangar and Executive Offices Expansion at Port San Antonio.
Josh and Lucas Novak (VP of Construction Management and VP of Energy Services respectively) are included among San Antonio’s Rising Stars on the weekly radio show of the same name. They discuss their entry into entrepreneurship.
